What People are Saying about LutherLink

"GOSPEL NOTES FOR NEXT SUNDAY" has helped me prepare great Bible studies and helped inform my preaching -- and that of dozens of colleagues. Hundreds of members of congregations have been fed by Brian's efforts and the dialog of colleagues. Through "WANTED AND FOR THE ASKING" I found out how to program an old phone's speed dial! Through "PC USERS GROUP" I have a resource bank of tech experts to help me out of various self-imposed glitches. "JOKES" has put me on the floor with some humor -- and made for some wonderful office repartee. "HEALING SERVICE SERMONS" was a meeting I started to glean fruits of others' labors for this worship experience. I learned that a Resource Center printed off our work, making them available to congregations in their region. I have gained worship ideas, VBS ideas, Christmas service ideas, Easter service ideas, etc. from Lutheran meetings and general ones. I have made friends via this medium. It is a community that is civil, caring, helpful and humorous.

Lutherlink/Ecunet has become a community for me. It has broadened my horizons, given me the opportunity to meet and stay in contact with wonderful people, given me a support group, made me feel I am still a part of things in spite of the fact that I am retired. The ultimate is that eight (I think that is the number) people including me from around the country are gathering in Louisville, KY to celebrate the graduation of an ecunet person and we all met on ecunet. For some, this will be the first meeting in person.

I have tested software on a number of occasions, including Ecunet, and have never met a more responsive group of people. It is a pleasure to be associated with a group that strived to ensure compatibility with a wide range of access modes and software. One user talks about being able to access Ecunet via his Kaypro Computer using Convene and I have no doubt I could still access it through my Apple III computer. Ecunet continues to be a work in progress and the thousands of meetings ensure there is more than just a little something for everyone. The options for access ensure that just about every combination of computer and access method is supported whether direct dial-in, pure web access or one of the hybrid methods.

For Lutheran Resource Centers around the country, Ecunet/Lutherlink is an indispensible gift! The reality of daily meetings, conversations, and connections has changed the way we respond to pastors, leaders, and colleagues from around the church. This simple tool helps us think communally and collaboratively. Thank you!

Our LutherLink section of the Ecunet network provides an indispensable connection for ELCA leaders. We look forward to the new Ecunet with its increased capacity and reliability, gifts for strengthening our ELCA community and outreach with the Gospel.
